The Void

Well you wanted to show the atmosphere boy was there plenty of that.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I gave this a go with how little there was to the description, but this was a very uncomfortable play session - in the best way possible. It didn't take long to see everything (unless there was something hidden in the blackness which wouldn't surprise me considering how insanely far you can go into it) yet what was there was enough to get me quite uncomfortable. The setting is simple but definitely taps into that liminal space feeling, and I was always concerned that walking across that blackness would drop me into a pit or something. The sound design worked really well (props to Maebi for the eerie song), especially with it playing from a radio and changing volume and direction depending on where you go (very effective with headphones are). And while there's no story or puzzles or monsters or really anything to help progress, the odd emptiness and those sign messages were enough to get my imagination going. If anything all of this is just exasperated by there being nothing there, because the more I walked around the more oppressive it felt; tension just kept building but there was no way to release it. 

I don't know if this is something you plan to expand on, but you've really got a knack for atmosphere and I would be interested to see what else you can do.
